On Saturday, May 7, 2016 the Sheckler Foundation hosted its 7th annual Skate for a Cause at the etnies Skatepark of Lake Forest with more than 50 skaters and thousands of supporters and sponsors in attendance. With a record attendance and sold out raffle tickets, proceeds raised from the event will help fund the Sheckler Foundation’s “Be the Change” initiatives to help kids in need and injured action sports athletes. Our good friends over a The Sheckler Foundation put on the 7th Annual Skate For A Cause charity event which continues to benefit their Be The Change initiative this past Saturday at the Etnies Skatepark in Lake Forest, CA. Hundreds of spectators came out for an afternoon of fun, skating, and good vibes. A who’s who of skateboarding’s finest pros showed up to help raise money to benefit this year’s Be The Change recipient Andrew Hale from the Adaptive Action Sports athlete. In January 2016, Andrew Hale, was in a snowboarding accident suffering SCI and TBI injuries. This grant will support Andrew’s road to recovery. It’s always great seeing the good folks at the Sheckler Foundation, along with their friends and family, continually helping others in need.
