Since 2004, Mighty Healthy’s defined success by sharing that push with anyone along for the ride. Watch that mindset manifest in this edit with Dane Vaughn, Pete Eldridge, Chris Colbourn, Gavin Nolan, Connor Champion, Jeremy Murray and Andrew Singh as they paint the corners of their hoods, as only they can.

Once again NikeSB threw a massive celebration for Go Skateboarding Day in the Big Apple. The day started at the LES park with literally thousands of kids. Steve Rodriguez MC’d and kicked off the long ollie contest (always good for some comical slams) and a best trick contest over the pyramid. After that, the mob pushed through the LES, over the Williamsburg Bridge to the newly redesigned McCarren Skatepark. The adjacent street was blocked off with skateable obstacles and everyone got a gourmet lunch! It felt like a block party, complete with a DJ, and the SB pros put on a little demo before the park was opened to the public. Stop by the new park in Williamsburg for a roll, it’s super fun. Stay tuned for video coverage from the day and Go Skateboard Everyday!

Andrew Cole is a Napa Valley native and one of Old Friends‘ oldest friends. Using the staves from recycled wine barrels, Andrew came up with the idea to make skateboards out of them. With these “Staveboards,” Andrew has found a new use for the strong Oak wood used primarily for aging wine and we are pleased to bring you a limited offering of Staveboards through Old Friends, complete with Old Friends x Spitfire 80HD wheels, Thunder trucks, and Spitfire bearings.
